Video Techniques for Law Enforcement
Three Day Course
Three days of intensive hands-on training in the use of a video camcorder to document all forms of criminal activity. An afternoon and evening session on the second day ensures participants will know how to use their camcorders in low light conditions and with night scopes. The evening session will also allow participants to use light to film crime scenes & search warrants after dark.
Video Camcorder Techniques for Surveillance
Three Day Course
This three-day course builds upon the techniques and skills presented in Video Techniques for Law Enforcement. Students will be exposed to state-of-the-art video surveillance systems and will be offered the opportunity to use them in realistic hands-on scenarios. The course will focus on both long-range surveillance and body-worn systems. It will include how to plan a successful video surveillance and the situational awareness necessary for safe operations.
**Participants are encouraged to bring their agency's video equipment to class whether it is a simple camcorder or more sophisticated video systems. A limited number of loaner systems will be available for participants who do not have equipment.
